1. Introduction

RideSimple is a product of Nayaforce Software Solutions Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). We operate the RideSimple platform, including the RideSimple Dashboard (web application), RideSimple Driver (mobile application), and the RideSimple booking widget. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Booking Customers

  • Name, email address, and phone number (provided when booking a ride)
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses
  • Flight information (airline, flight number) when applicable
  • Payment information (processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card numbers)

2.2 Drivers (RideSimple Driver App)

  • Name, phone number, and email address
  • Real-time GPS location (transmitted every 2 minutes while your status is set to "Available" or "On Ride", and only while the app is in the foreground)
  • Device push notification token (for ride alerts)
  • Driver code (unique identifier assigned by your operator)

2.3 Operators (Dashboard Users)

  • Name, email address, and organization details
  • Authentication credentials (managed by Clerk, our identity provider)
  • Company branding assets (logo, colors)

2.4 Automatically Collected Information

  • Crash reports and error diagnostics (via Sentry) — these may include device type, OS version, and app state at the time of a crash
  • Basic usage analytics to improve service reliability

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To facilitate ride bookings and communicate between customers, operators, and drivers
  • To send booking confirmations, status updates, and ride notifications via email and SMS
  • To share driver location with dispatchers and customers during active rides
  • To process payments securely through Stripe
  • To diagnose technical issues and improve platform reliability
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • With your operator: Booking details and driver location are shared with the transportation company you booked with or work for
  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform:
    • Stripe — payment processing
    • Twilio — SMS notifications (operated by your transportation company)
    • Clerk — authentication and identity management
    • Sentry — error monitoring and crash reporting
    • Expo — push notifications for the driver app
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Booking records are retained for the operator's business purposes. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Authentication tokens stored in encrypted device storage (driver app)
  • Tenant-isolated data architecture — each operator's data is separated
  • Payment data handled by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Stripe)

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your account and personal data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for location tracking (by toggling your status to Offline in the driver app, or by revoking location permissions in your device settings)

Drivers: You can delete your account directly from the RideSimple Driver app under Profile > Delete Account. This will deactivate your driver profile, unassign you from pending rides, and clear your personal data.

8. Location Data

The RideSimple Driver app collects GPS location data only when the driver sets their status to "Available" or is on an active ride, and only while the app is in the foreground. Location data is used to:

  • Show driver position to dispatchers for ride assignment
  • Provide live tracking to customers during active rides

Location tracking stops immediately when the driver sets their status to "Offline" or closes the app. We do not track location in the background.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The driver app is intended for professional drivers aged 18 and older.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
